Rie Kudan, the winner of Japan's prestigious literary award, acknowledged that about 'five percent' of her novel was penned by ChatGPT, a generative AI chatbot. Her latest novel, 'Tokyo-to Dojo-to' (Sympathy Tower Tokyo), set in a futuristic Tokyo with a high-rise prison tower, explores the theme of AI.
